A printable booklet including extracts from Roald Dahl’s work including The Twits adapted by David Wood and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory adapted by Richard R. George. The extracts are for use in the classroom only and not for a public or paid performance. This resource has been made to guide students through a short, group performance assessment and includes some self-assessment guidance at the end of the booklet. Drama Task Grid

This is a ‘Peri-o-metre’ style choosing task grid. Students can earn different amounts of points depending on the task they choose to complete. Tasks were origianlly based on the play DNA for the WJEC Spec and have evolved to be more general and also to be home-learning friendly, Can be edited to suit any play or theme. Can also be used as a bingo style activity.

WWII Radio Play

This is a ‘pick-up and use’ resource for all teachers of drama but especially useful for those new to the subject or for cover as most tasks and games are described in a step by step format. The target of the lessons are to create a radio play but the lessons themselves stand alone well. The lessons cover - photo analysis and imitation, tableaux, sound effects, status, dialogue/voice. I have developed this series of lessons over 5 years and I am likely to continue to do so. The same lesson is presented in two formats - detailed and basic. I purposely leave the final result open ended as I find that every group and every class have a new way of approaching it. There is also no formal assessment section as most schools and departments have their own Feedback welcomed!
