A grid to track the themes in the anthology poems. I developed this for my bottom-set to support with making comparisons, but it could be a helpful revision tool for all abilities. Based on the popular ITV gameshow, this PowerPoint is a fun AFL tool that could be used as a plenary or a starter in a revision lesson. The PowerPoint comes complete with transitions and sound effects for an authentic WWTBAM experience! Suggested tasks to maximise time on the quiz: Starter: ‘What would you spend a million pounds on? Be prepared to share!’ My students love this task! Quiz: For each question, ask students to find quotations to evidence the answers. You could set a timer and turn this into a competition. Extension: Ask students to create their own questions and rank them from easiest to hardest - which one is the million pound question? Plenary: Get students to read their questions aloud and vote to decide which questions were the best/most difficult! This could be used to guide their future revision.

Not only does this promote reading to students, it has sparked conversations about books amongst my students with many selecting my recommendations in our library!
