Nursery Rhymes booklet (lyrics+ pictures)

This is a collection of 15 traditional children’s songs and nursery rhymes. These timeless melodies, including classics such as ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,’ ‘Five Little Ducks,’ and ‘The Wheels on the Bus,’ have been thoughtfully selected to provide a free and readily accessible resource for our students. This compilation serves a dual purpose: to encourage early reading skills and to kindle a sense of familiarity with these beloved tunes. Even if our young learners cannot yet read independently, the engaging illustrations and clear, easy-to-follow lyrics enable them to recognize and connect with the songs. Our ‘Songs and Rhymes’ resource book is a versatile addition to our classroom. It can be used as an independent reading tool, allowing children to explore the songs at their own pace. This fosters a sense of autonomy and self-discovery, enhancing their early literacy skills. Moreover, the resource lends itself beautifully to our circle time and lessons. Gathering together, we create an interactive and joyous atmosphere where children can sing along, practice rhythm and rhyme, and strengthen their social bonds. We believe that the incorporation of these traditional songs and nursery rhymes enriches our learning environment, promotes language development, and instills a love for music from an early age. It is our pleasure to offer this resource as a cherished part of our classroom experience. Delivered as a downloadable PDF document.

Bingo Game- Lego Therapy

(0)
Introducing my innovative Bingo Game, a creative and engaging educational tool meticulously crafted using the beloved Lego bricks. This unique game is designed to facilitate the acquisition of essential concepts, making learning a fun and interactive experience. The reason there are only three cards is that this resource aligns with the Lego-based Therapy approach. Students are expected to work in groups of two or three, alongside an adult, with each person assuming a different role. The envisioned method involves playing the Bingo Game in small groups, with three individuals holding a bingo card each, and one serving as the caller. I encourage them to take turns so that everyone has a chance to be the caller (as children tend to enjoy this role). You can print the resource multiple times to create as many sets as needed, allowing you to divide your class into groups accordingly. They can play either independently or with the assistance of an adult." The blank card can be used by the caller to remember the chosen brick. With a focus on fundamental areas such as colors and sizes, the Bingo Game seamlessly integrates Speech and Language development into the learning process. As students match Lego pieces to their corresponding spaces on the bingo card, they not only reinforce their understanding of colors and sizes but also engage in verbal interaction, promoting communication skills. But that’s not all—my Bingo Game is a versatile resource. Beyond colors and sizes, it can be adapted to support mathematical learning, encouraging students to count, add, or subtract Lego pieces to complete their Bingo cards. This adaptable feature makes it an ideal choice for Math lessons, helping to reinforce mathematical concepts in an enjoyable manner. Additionally, my Lego-based Therapy component harnesses the power of collaborative play. By participating in the Bingo Game, students work together, taking on roles like caller and player, enhancing social skills, cooperation, and teamwork. It can be seamlessly integrated into Lego-based Therapy sessions, providing a valuable resource for therapists and educators alike. Whether used as a starter to engage students right from the beginning of a lesson or as a captivating plenary activity to reinforce key takeaways, our Lego Bingo Game is a versatile addition to your educational toolkit. With its blend of playfulness and learning, it’s an excellent choice for educators looking to make lessons not only informative but also fun and inclusive.
