Suitable for KS4 - lesson on The Inspector with a focus on fictional tropes and his role as a catalyst, particularly in terms of the characterisation of Sheila Birling. The Powerpoint includes a link to a clip from Sherlock Holmes where Sherlock and Watson meet each other for the first time - engaging discussion point for tropes of the detective. The AOs for the exam board are referred to throughout.

Suitable for KS4 - first lesson on context with a focus on the opening stage directions. The AOs for the exam board are referred to throughout. The powerpoint refers back to a scene from the movie Titanic - suggested scenes for this are the one where we see the difference classes of passengers arriving on the ship or the dinner party scene. The plenary refers to a teacher’s post box which is simply a way for student to anonymously post questions / concerns to the teacher.
