This enterprise project uses a business plan to help students run their own business. This can be completed as an extra curricular activity or incorporated into the Business GCSE SOW. I have used this resource by getting pupils into groups of six, where they will be in competition with each other. They are to complete this business plan and present a Dragons Den pitch in order to receive investment. It is up to the teacher, but I allocate £15 investment per group. A date is then assigned for when they will sell their product/service and the team that earns the most profit wins the competition. This business plan covers a range of business functions such as Marketing, Business, Finance and Operations. It is a useful resource to apply the theory taught in lessons into practice. I have also included assessment questions that relate to each topic area to help students consolidate their learning. This Enterprise project is to help pupils develop a range of enterprise skills such as problem solving, teamwork, communication etc. and is an interactive activity to help students understand the importance of money.
