Assistant Head job application personal statement

This is the cover letter I used for a successful job application for the position of Assistant Headteacher. It demonstrates how to construct a personal statement using middle leadership skills, experiences and CPD, linking each of these to the progress of students. This resource is also part of my Assistant Head job personal statement bundle, which includes this document, advice on how to be successful at the interview tasks and the common questions used at Assistant Head interviews. Two of the 5 resources in the bundle have an audio voice over with important advice from a Headteacher’s perspective, about how to be successful when applying for an Assistant Head position. The cost of the bundle is excellent value at £10. As part of this ‘sale’ I also offer a free mentoring session to help and guide you with your job application. If you would like to take advantage of this, please send me a message to infiniteeducationcareers@gmail.com

NPQSL 2021/22 submission 28/28 full marks

(1)
This resource will save you hours and hours of time and make sure you hit all the assessment criteria to pass your NPQSL with flying colours. It contains a NPQSL submission document submitted for November, 2021 and is appropriate for submission until April 2022. It has been assessed as 28 out of 28, full marks. The document also contains key comments from the NPQ assessor explaining why the marks were awarded and describes the key elements you need to write about and include for each criterion in your NPQSL submission. The marking scheme assessors use go beyond the statements for each criterion and the annotations made by the assessor will help you to make sure you include everything needed to achieve full marks for each criterion in your submission. Also included in this resource are exemplars for the Business Case, Communications Plan and the Risk Management Plan. These are in a word document format so you can download them and use the headings in the tables as templates. The headings are designed to make sure you cover every aspect of the assessment criteria and mark scheme needed in these documents.

This document is the covering letter I wrote for a successful job application for a Head of Science position. You will find examples of how I described my experience and linked them to the impact I had, which I quantified wherever possible. Although it is Science Job application, the principles of how to write a covering letter apply to all Head of Department positions.

NPQML for 2021/22 submission 32/32

Up to 25% of NPQML submissions fail. This resource contains an NPQML submission that was awarded full marks in December, 2021. As well as providing examples of how to get full marks for each criterion, as a current NPQML assessor I have explained why full marks were awarded. Many teachers misinterpret the criteria or don’t include everything they need to, to be awarded two marks for each critierion. For each criterion I have explained exactly what you need to include to achieve full marks. I have also included examples of appropriate research you could inlcude in your submission. This bundle also contains templates for the supporting documents you will need, a budget plan, a project plan and a risk register. These are in word format so you can download them and populate them directly. The headings ensure you will meet the NPQML criteria. If you are writing your NPQML this resource will save you hours and hours of time and make sure you match the assessment criteria successfully.

NPQH Task 1 for 2022 full marks 30/30

Make sure you pass your NPQH Task 1 and save hours and hours of time preparing your submission for 2022 using these resources for submission. As a current NPQH assessor, I find in some batches, up to 25% of submissions fail. This is because candidates misunderstand the criteria and don’t provide the evidence to get at least 1 mark out of 2 for each criterion or don’t provide enough evidence to achieve 70% overall. In this resource I show you exactly what the assessor is looking for in each criterion, provide examples of the appropriate research that you could include for each criterion and through exemplars that scored full marks, show you how to structure your writing. I have also included an exemplar communications/stakeholder engagement strategy in word format that you can use as a template for your own submission. The tables and headings are designed to ensure you match all aspects of this criterion. I have included important notes on your sponsor’s comments that will help you if you are struggling to cut things out to get under the word count. If you follow this guidance you will cruise through your NPQH Task 1.

This resource is an example C.V. that I have used for several successful job applications. It shows how to be concise while still showcasing what I have done within two sides of A4, as most organisations will expect your C.V. to be no longer than this. You may have had fewer jobs than I have had, so you may have more room to give some more detail on the key things that you have been responsible for and have achieved.

GCSE Chemistry C1 and C2

This resource is a PPT that contains revision sheets for Edexcel topics C1 and C2. They can be used as revision sheets for tests and exams or they could be used as homeworks to consolidate understanding at the end of each subtopic. Note: they can be used in A4 format, but probably best in A3. Check that the margins of the slides print before sending a lot of printing, you may need to adjust the size of the tables.
