AQA C15.1 Corrosion and Its Prevention

(0)
Full lesson following the new 9-1 AQA Chemistry Specification. Corrosion and Its Prevention, C15.1. Covers learning aims: Explain the process of corrosion, issues with corrosion and methods of prevention. I used this lesson with a class of mixed ability working at grades 4-7. There is extensive structuring and it is designed for short chunked sections. There is a challenge task that can be used more heavily to take it up to the very top grades on this topic. Hope this is useful. All questions and activities are within the powerpoint. Images used are not owned by me.

KS3 Boiling and Evaporation

(0)
Whole lesson aimed at Year 7 students on the differences between Evaporation and Boiling. I found that this is a large misconception in a lot of students and so added a lesson into my plan to challenge it. This lesson was used with a large range of abilities. The demo is watching a beaker of water boil on a Bunsen burner and watching a beaker of water evaporate on the surface.

AQA P7.1 Isotopes and Radioactivity

(1)
Resource made for the new AQA Physics 9-1 Specification. Video link is to a TED video and the questions are designed to go along with the information gathered from the video. This was used with classes of both higher and foundation tier but not with extremely high attaining students so some adapting may need to be done if that is what you want. All activities are in the lesson powerpoint. Images used are not owned by me.
