This resembles a 'book unit&' to practice both the preterite and the imperfect tense and it has plenty of exercises. It&';s quite advance (even too advanced for most students) but I think some of the exercises could be useful. Be my guest and pick whatever suits your students best.

These resources include a Power Point document and a worksheet. It would work as a whole 60-minute lesson aimed at high-ability students in year 9, even though it could also suit a year 10 class. It includes reading, listening and writing activities and is meant to expand their knowledge of the topic "cinema", broadening their film terminology and fostering the simultaneous use of two different tenses as well as justified opinions. It is a good challenge an You will find some notes in the PowerPoint that will help you make the most of it.
