The lesson is aimed at Level 3 Health and Social Care Students (new spec). The power point contains learning outcomes, notes for students, activities, case studies and a break down of the assignment task. P1 Explain the importance of promoting equality and diversity for individuals with different needs. M1 Analyse the impact of preventing discrimination for individuals with different needs. D1 Evaluate the success of promoting anti-discriminatory practice for specific individuals with different needs.

These resources contain a lesson power point and activity work sheets. This lesson serves as an induction for students who are thinking about (or have already chosen) BTEC Health and Social Care. It gives students a taste of how lessons are broken down into pass, merit and distinction criteria. This lesson would be either an ideal 'induction lesson' or a 'first lesson introduction' in September for new starters. This is why I have chosen the 'Care Values' topic as this is a core basis for anyone who wants to learn more about Health and Social Care.

I created these resources for an NCFE Level 1 qualification but they are also ideal for awareness lessons. I would recommend this lesson as a full day teaching depending on ability level. These resources are aimed at health and social care students. This lesson can be tailored to suit levels 1-3. The resources contain: missing words, videos, diet plans and an eat well plate that students can cut and stick in. The final activity allows students to plan a nutritional diet from a choice of service users with different dietary needs e.g. diabetes/CHD etc. I have delivered this lesson to both key stage 4 and adult learners. Both groups thoroughly enjoyed the lesson activities.

This resource is aimed at Level 1 students. It contains a power point lesson with clear objectives on the key areas of "Care Standards" in England. This is useful and interactive and can be used as a basis for discussion for those students who are wishing to pursue a career in health and social care. Lesson objectives cover: *Identify what the care standards are *Give examples of care standard expectations *Explain who regulates care standards in England

Please find attached resources for a Career Lesson. I delivered this lesson to a class of Y7 pupils who thoroughly enjoyed looking at the example career posters and deciding which career path best suited that particular professional. I allowed the students to work in teams and gave each table a career poster to work with. Please also find attached a ‘help sheet’ for the written task, a mind map and a spelling activity related to careers- can’t beat a bit of SPAG!!

The lessons contain information and engaging activities that allow students to learn the subject material as well as preparing them for their coursework assignment. I have also included a "help sheet" that my students found very useful as it helped them to break down the assignment criteria.

The resources are for Level 3 BTEC Health and Social Care students. The resources cover the material for P6/M5 which relates to "Multi-Agency Working". The lesson and booklet provides students with a framework which sets them up so that they can independently start their coursework assignment.

These resources are aimed at level 3 students studying BTEC Health and Social Care. These resources cover the P7 and D3 assessment criteria in relation to the roles and responsibilities of members within a multi-disciplinary care team. The activities provided helps to prepare students for writing their assignment. Resources contain; mind maps, information, missing word activities etc. I have also included a "start me off" model framework - my students always like to know "what it should look like" so I have found that this helps them to get started.

The resources are aimed at level 3 BTEC Health and Social Care students. The presentation contains activities and information on how to complete the P8 & M6 assessment criteria which relates to managing and sharing data between professionals within a health and social care setting. I have included a research task and students can relate their own experiences from their placements.

This resource includes a lesson on Unit 8 (Working With Others) as well as a booklet that students can interactively use. This allows them to have a full understanding of the unit content. Clear criteria has been set along with self assessment boxes that allow students to reflect on their progress throughout the lesson. As this resource is aimed at level 1 students who have been out of academia for some time- I would normally allow one full teaching day for this Unit.
