Explore Photography Skills

In this unit you are going to apply for a work experience placement. You will learn how to fill out an expression of interest form and apply for a suitable job. If you are successful, you attend a work experience placement each week and keep a diary of your progress. Students will be motivated to work, understanding what will be expected of them in a “real” job. The use of photographs and witness statements will support this and show evidence

In this unit we will explore your local community and its facilities. We will identify ways to be a good citizen. You will go out into the community and look at the local facilities on offer. This will promote independence and help them grow in confidence. They will learn of ways in which they can make a positive contribution to their community.

Effective communication skills are important for both education and whilst in a job. These skills can improve relationships with friends, colleagues, employers and customers in a variety of ways. Be reliable during group work and trustworthy are vital qualities.

The key aim of this unit is to give learners the opportunity to improve and explore techniques to improve their own organisational skills and then review the use of techniques through active learning experiences. In this unit we will explore how displaying merchandise correctly can have an impact on the success of a business. We will then use what we have learn’t to display goods in the Retail Shop, as part of work experience.
