1 week’s worth of lessons to teach Year 1 multiplication and division. 5 Active Inspire Primary flipcharts to use as whole class input across the week Monday - Friday plus some supporting worksheets and resources. Monday and Tuesday flipcharts focus on multiplication by looking at ‘lots of’ and ‘groups of’ and then introducing the multiplication ‘x’ symbol. Wednesday and Thursday flipcharts focus on division by looking at ‘sharing’ and introducing the division ÷ symbol. Friday flipchart offers some word problems using the skills developed throughout the week. My school follows Focus Maths and this is the Spring 2 Week 2 unit.

Monday - Friday morning tasks for Week 1 of the Spring 1 half term (W/B 11.01.21 at my school but you can edit the dates) I have created these as a holding activity for children to complete as they arrive during our 30-minute drop off window (to minimise crowding on the playground due to Covid-19). Tasks include Writing, Maths, Handwriting, Phonics. Format is in PowerPoint Presentation. Font is Comic Sans as standard so this is compatible on all devices and can be changed to suit you.

A4 page of cards showing numbers 1-10 in ‘ones’ and 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 in tens using base 10 / dienes / tens and ones. Can be printed, cut out and laminated for use in school or for home learning.
