propositos de año nuevo

A template for your students to practise reflection and set some resolutions using complex structures (2 verbs together, for example). Adaptable to work for many different levels, I have used it for GCSE groups and IB. Goes very well after analysing this clip from the Spanish news Informe Semanal (although this dates back to 2013) http://www.rtve.es/alacarta/videos/informe-semanal/informe-semanal-propositos-ano-nuevo/2281808/?fbclid=IwAR0GAoTCv7h4AAiT9SKqROOo6AZ4qLLo86C9jUAuvQZHA-UfnwyThNQDKPw

El roscón de reyes

El roscón de reyes

A lesson about the Spanish tradition of ‘el roscón de reyes’. I used this lesson as a link between Christmas related lessons and food (the topic we were doing). It recaps ingredients and quantities, and introduces recipe related vocabulary (verbs) and sequencers (primero, antes que nada, después, al mismo tiempo, para terminar…). Cut in pieces the word document and let them unjumble it to find the recipe! At the end includes the legend of ‘el roscón’. Please note this is a simplified version of the recipe with adapted vocabulary- Hope you enjoy! :)

Tarsia de Navidad - Christmas tarsia

Who said vocab tests were boring? Start the lesson with this tarsia to reinforce Christmas related key words and promote cooperative learning. Just print and cut the triangles and let students put them back in the correct place to form the big shape. The template is fully editable so you can change the language or the vocabulary to fully adapt it to your content! Print in A3 for best results. Feliz navidad :)
