I'm currently an undergraduate student but these are all my revision resources from when I was studying at GCSE level. Most of my resources are for English, History and Religious Studies with a few extension sheets for science. Adapted versions of my resources are also available on Physics & Maths Tutor. The notes have been tried and tested by students and teachers in my high school so are hopefully worth using but please send any questions/feedback my way: sarahstubingtonresources@gmail.com

The themes covered are: Class, Wealth, Ambition, Women, Gentlemen, Crime and Justice, Morality, Love, Positive Relationships, Negative Relationships and Learning There is also a separate 6 page resource specifically on the various forms of relationships within Great Expectations that would be helpful for more difficult exam questions such as “How are unequal relationships presented in Great Expectations?” or just as a framework for structuring essays.

Great Expectations Chapter Summary (9-1)

Great Expectations Chapter Summary (9-1)

(0)
Each chapter is summarised with key events, key thematic / character developments and key quotes. This is done in the format of one double sided A4 sheet per volume. There is also a copy without the chapters labelled so that the summary can be printed off and cut into chapters ready for students to put into order as an activity to help them with the whole novel structure. This resource is very useful as an introduction to the novel and as a guide to refer to whilst reading and re-reading the novel to help visualise what is happening. It is also useful for locating where extracts are in comparison to the rest of the novel - a vital skill for the new exams.
