4.The Students Life - Understanding the costs and funding methods for post-18 study (1 Hour)
Ultra-processed diet - Understanding the risks of the overconsumption of ultra processed foods (1 Hour)
Mental Health Awareness Projects - Students pick from one of the six projects to take on.
A lesson powerpoint for Y12 students undertaking the Extended Project Qualification looking to gain an understanding of the importance and how to build a Gantt chart.
In this lesson student will be able to identify an ultra-processed food and the risk they pose to the population. Students will understand why we consume so much of it and highlight how the food industry is the problem… not the people eating this type of food.
A 2 hour session… could be split across 2 different lessons.
A session aimed at y12/13 to improve their understanding of the types of interviews that exist and how best to prepare.
The second part is an assessment day with a number of fun activities that show problem solving, organisation and team work.

Students will engage in a food shop challenge on an online supermarket of their choosing.
Students should complete a varied and balanced food shop for the UK university student average weekly spend of £33.
A 1 hour lesson Powerpoint for Y8 students to begin to understand Calorie intake and the factors that may impact this.
LO’s:
Identify the 3 Macronutrients.
Explain the impacts of not eating a balanced diet
Analyse our own diets and suggest ways we can improve them

A lesson on finding ways of identifying potential future careers and work.
Students will use reflection and introspection to identify what they enjoy and what they are good at.
Students will also complete an example interview response using the ‘STAR’ model.
Lesson 1 out of 7 in Module 1 of Life Skills.
Students will engage with identifying key costs to a young working adult in 2023.
Using the previous weeks chosen job they will identify an early career position, calculate spendable income and produce a budget for their living costs using The Money Charity’s online budget tool. (Required access to a phone or computer).
Quick bit - Student’s will identify some of the key parts of a pay slips using a provided example. This should be a recap from PSHE.
In this session students will work in group to produce 1 out of the 6 activities to raise awareness within your school about mental health.
Student should be encouraged to fact check their work before publishing.
This lesson could take take up to 2/3 hours once you factor in allowing students to prepare and deliver.
