My year group responded very well to this planning and thoroughly enjoyed producing their own poems and performing them to one another. They also loved playing critics and had fun evaluating their own performances as well as those of others. Planning is in the form of a flipchart and includes other necessary resources. Marking ladders for work to be completed are included as well as a modelled text which can be used to model to the children how their poems might sound.

5 Weeks unit of work based on the theme of Pirates. Includes ideas for activities and Learning objectives for each day in the 5 weeks.
