As the Sector Skills Council for Health we work with UK health sector employers and stakeholders to develop a more skilled and flexible workforce. The health sector has over 2.1 million employees across the NHS, independent healthcare and voluntary organisations. Skills for Health (SfH) work towards improving the quality of health and healthcare by looking at ways of developing the skills of those entering and working in the health sector. We are responsible for developing qualifications and the apprenticeship frameworks for our sector. Examples include; dental nursing, pharmacy and optical retail as well as a range of health care and support options.
