In-school lessons and remote / home learning lessons to match. One week’s worth of high quality in-school guided reading lessons with accompanying home learning hyperdocs providing remote learners with the exact same lessons to work through independently at home. The lessons include discussion activities, close reading, writing analysis, creative writing and SATs style questions based on National Curriculum Reading Domains. One lesson will focus on retrieval and one on inference because of the weighting of these skills in the KS2 SATs, but all reading skills will be addressed across the week. See lesson outlines below! What is a hyperdoc? The slides are embedded with interactive elements such as audio, video, hyperlinks and text boxes which will enable children to work independently at home. Ensure equitable guided reading provision for any bubbles quarantining and distance learning with these unique resources. You could even use the hyperdocs to support blended learning, with some children independently working through the hyperdocs, while those who need extra support work in smaller teacher-guided groups.
