T Rex Mouse Music Game

In this fun class or individual lesson, students learn about dynamics. The Trex is a loud note and the mice are soft notes. This game was originally created for drum students both in group and one-to-one settings. However this can easily be adapted to suit other instruments and / voice. This resource can be used as a warm up or an end of lesson activity or even used for an entire lesson. This is a resource designed for drummers who are just starting out but can easily be developed to suit more advanced players. This product contains an interactive keynote and powerpoint presentation. When used on a tablet students can select the cards they want by tapping on the screen. When used on a computer a simple mouse click will suffice. A PDF of the presentation is also included should handouts be needed for students.

Your one-stop shop for all bucket and junk drumming needs! Four keynote presentations designed to take a small group or full class through the basics of bucket drumming and beyond. The course is designed with a martial arts theme with your classroom acting as the Dojo (you can even call yourself sensei if you want to)! The course is designed for a class of buckets (1 group), buckets and bottles (2 groups), buckets, bottles and shakers (3 groups) and buckets, bottles, shakers, and scratchers (4 groups). The instruments used are designed to mimic real percussion instruments and as such these lessons can easily be transferred to a samba and or African drumming group(s). The course was designed on and for a mac but powerpoint versions of each keynote are provided (please note that animations and fonts are different when using powerpoint). Handouts for students as well as P.D.F.s are also included as well as a quick start guide outlining everything you will need to get started. The course can also be printed to hand out to students / other staff members. This course is perfect as a stand-alone look at bucket drumming as well as a great addition to your existing music syllabus. The course does not have to be taught in its entirety or indeed in the order that I have prescribed. Each lesson can be used as a stand-alone lesson; perfect for looking at rhythm with a variety of age groups.
