AQA GCSE Spanish 500 Most Common Words

(0)
The information in these files is the result of several days of data mining, Excel formatting and Quizlet creation! What is it? The list contains the 500 most commonly used Spanish words in AQA GCSE assessment materials. How was it ranked? I used a document analysis program to find the word frequency of all of the AQA GCSE past papers and specimen papers contained on their website. This includes transcripts for listening exams and also speaking photo cards and role plays. I filtered out the English words and removed proper nouns. What’s included in these files? You’ll find an Excel spreadsheet containing the Top 500 Words in order of how often they appear, with their English meanings beside them. A second Excel sheet contains the same 500 words with definitions, but in alphabetical order for use as a glossary or reference material for students. Both of these versions are also included as Microsoft Word files and PDF files. A *word cloud *using the 500 words which can be printed onto A3 for use as a display or used as a cover image if you wish to print off the list and turn it into a booklet. I’ve also created* 20 Quizlet sets* to help students to memorise the vocabulary. Each set contains 25 words. The sets are password protected. Information to access them is included in the info sheet in the pack. OTHER RESOURCES YOU MAY FIND USEFUL Revista Magazine Issue 1: A fun magazine suitable for both KS3 and KS4 students.
