Families occupied the Mansion at Tatton for many generations and before that they lived in the Old Hall. To this day, there are many of the families’ old possessions in storage and on display, which are of great interest. For example, the family state coach used at the coronation of George V in 1911, a collection of ivory puzzle balls from China, a model kayak from Yukon and wrist knives from Kenya. These are just a few of the many items which we could draw on to devise wonderful new stories.
