KS4 GCSE Science Physics Bundle | 10 Topics in Forces and Motion

(0)
This bundle consists of 10 sections covering the “forces and movement” chapter of the unit Forces and Motion in KS4 GCSE physics. Each section consists of a PDF document designed for pupils to use as a handout to be integrated into the lesson. There is a corresponding document for teachers - it consists of my own notes and solutions to questions and tasks. A typical layout of each section includes: setting learning objectives learning the theory examples small tasks exam-style questions This bundle is also great for revision and recapping key ideas for pupils in year 11 before their exams. Below are the individual sections that I’ve divided the unit of Forces and Motion into. I hope that this resource is helpful and saves you plenty of time! (If you want the entire Forces and Motion bundle consisting 25 sections for the whole unit, be sure to check out this bundle: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/forces-and-motion-whole-unit-gcse-physics-11947315 ) Forces and movement Types of forces Scalars and vectors Force diagrams Resultant forces Newton’s first law Newton’s second law Newton’s third law Mass and weight Terminal velocity Stopping distance

Radiation badge | Radioactivity GCSE Physics

(0)
Radioactivity GCSE Physics I got my pupils to make their own radiation badge to learn about alpha, beta, and gamma radiation’s penetrating power. They cut out ‘photographic films’ and darkened the areas that would be affected when the badge is exposed to each type of radiations. I have included a few versions of the activity so that you can print out the version most suitable for you and your class. Hope this is useful in your pupils’ learning process!

Standing Waves and Travelling Waves | A Level Physics Key Stage 5

(1)
Here’s a handout that I give my physics students for when we learn about the difference between stationary waves and progressive waves. I’ve also included two videos to go along with this: Video to explain the theory Video to show you how to carry out an experiment to find the speed of light using the idea of nodes and anti-nodes in standing waves - I had a lot of fun doing this! Enjoy!

Resolving forces practical

(1)
Topic: Forces in balance: Resolving forces practical 1. Measure and record a component of a force. 2. Resolve a force into two components at right angles to one another. Level: GCSE, key stage 4 I am following the AQA science (physics) syllabus but this resource is suitable for anyone teaching KS3 or KS4 science (specifically physics). Hope this resource is helpful for you. Please do let me know if there's any suggestions for improvement. I aim to upload more lessons following this topic. Check out some bundles I've put together. Enjoy!
