There are three levels of differentiation: the first level has just the questions. Level 2 has sentence starters. Level three has sentence starters and a number of hints, ensuring that there is a level for each pupil. All pupils answer the **Understanding **questions which will give them a basic understanding of the topic. The Historical Enquiry questions extend them more and require pupils to expand and explain their thinking; the answers are subjective. There is also a Creative Work section where they can demonstrate their learning and understanding in a creative manner.
Also included is a newspaper template to report on the event as well as a guideline that will help give ideas on what to put on the front page.

An information sheet with text and pictures that explain the different causes of WW1. There are three differentiated levels of questions for pupils to complete. Each set of questions has three sections: TIME TO THINK: answering these questions give pupils a basic understanding of the topic. HISTORICAL ENQUIRY: this requires them to think a bit more and give their own opinion. CREATIVE WORK: a creative piece to complete.
