Two creative writing lessons for English Language GCSE. Includes: One "introduction" lesson, that could be used as the starter for a scheme of work or unit at the beginning of the year. Useful as a diagnostic of pupils' prior understanding as it tests various skills including basic grammar knowledge and writing skills. One lesson on "describing a moment in time", encouraging pupils to extend their descriptive writing and use higher-level techniques. Created by a Head of English with ten years' experience and tested on real pupils!

Set of three lessons that cover questions 1-4 on the Communicating Information and Ideas paper. Targeted at lower ability pupils compared to my other paper 1 resource, but absolutely usable for any ability. The texts are interesting and engaging for pupils as many have heard of this legend in local mythology. Includes: Three Power Points Two texts on the theme of the mysterious "Black Dog" legend, including one pre-C19th text An annotated version of one text A sample answer for question 4. Created by a Head of English with ten years' experience and tried and tested with real-life pupils!
