I have been working in education for 4 years and have taught in 2 different schools since my PGCE, the first being a state school and the second in the private sector. I have experienced a broad range of class types, from mixed ability through to low ability KS3-4, and have also taught A-Level Language, although my degree was in Literature. My experience with lower ability sets has helped develop my work's focus on differentiation, and I often create resources designed to help these sort of students raise their own standards and expectations in their work outside of the classroom. I also worked for 7 months as a KS3 co-ordinator, and have subsequently gained experience in creating successful transition resources and department level assessment materials.
