The booklet is 50 pages and includes a vast amount of tasks that help students build on the skills required for descriptive writing - there are basic tasks to begin with that leads up to exam practice and should build up confidence in students. I have used this with a group of year 9 students and it has helped them to progress.

I use these cards with all my year groups as I think they are really good to help build up confidence with questioning and speaking to others. This booklet was put together to support a LA year7 group. The booklet can be altered to suit specific. I used basic language so that students with Dyslexia found it easy to use.

I have used popular children's characters e.g. Peter Pan, Scar etc for the non fiction lessons. Lesson 1:They have to identify the crimes they have committed and discuss the punishment they deserve. I have also used Roald Dahl's Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Lesson 2: Students have to analyse a crime report then have a go at producing their own, based on Goldilocks. A checklist has been included so students check through their work. starter tasks and homework task included. These lessons were put together for a low ability year 8 group but my high ability group really enjoy the tasks too.

There are 77 challenge card questions which will be suited to use with all English topics. You can choose which ones are most relevant to your specific lesson. I have had mine laminated and placed in a wallets around my classroom, so when the students finish their class work they help themselves to a challenge card.

This mat can be used for the English Language Paper 2 writing section but it is also useful to use with any persuasive writing task. I have had mine laminated and placed on each table so that students can use these whenever they need to. This also allows students to work independently.

This resource offers a breakdown for each question of the new English Language Paper 2, reading section. This is a useful resource for learners to use, especially to help independent learning. I have used different coloured paper for each question and had them laminated and they are placed on each desk. I make sure the students refer to these before asking me for guidance.

I put this powerpoint to help my learners build their understanding on being persuasive and arguing a point. All students that I have used this with have enjoyed it and seemed eager to share their ideas and thoughts on what they would like to send to Room 101. it is really good for speaking and listening too.
