I have used popular children's characters e.g. Peter Pan, Scar etc for the non fiction lessons. Lesson 1:They have to identify the crimes they have committed and discuss the punishment they deserve. I have also used Roald Dahl's Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Lesson 2: Students have to analyse a crime report then have a go at producing their own, based on Goldilocks. A checklist has been included so students check through their work. starter tasks and homework task included. These lessons were put together for a low ability year 8 group but my high ability group really enjoy the tasks too.
