#### FS Maths L2 - Building Site

(0)
Similar to the Allotment task. Students are required to analyse the scale drawing and use this information to calculate an area for storage to be drawn on the plan. Also uses formula in this question.

#### FS Maths - Cruise Holiday

(0)
A good L1/L2 section 1 task based on City and Guilds. Asks students to calculate Fractions, Percentages, compare amounts, convert currency as well as getting information from complex tables.

#### FS Maths L2 Data Handling - Bumble Bee survey

(0)
A level 2 functional skills activity requiring students to draw trend lines, calculate mean, analyse the results of the survey and comment on the results.

#### FS Maths L2 - Arranging a Business Trip

(0)
Designed to meet the City and Guilds Level 2 Section 1 task. The student is asked to gather information from complex tables, calculate Percentages, fractions and convert currency.

#### FS Maths L2 - Activity Pack

(0)
A useful 3 section, replicating the city and guilds exam style, activity pack. Incorporating, number handling, space, area and measure as well as a statistical activity all in one document with space for additional workings out.

#### Functional Skills Maths - Brick Storage

(1)
A useful activity to cover section 2 the space area of the City and Guilds functional skills exam. Students have to calculate the no of bricks required for a wall, calculate the cement in a lorry and compare it against what is needed and finally interpret a scale drawing. Aimed at a confident level 2 learners but level 1 could do it with support.

#### FS Maths Level 1/2 - Data Handling - The Shop

Although this is covering section 3 of the City and Guilds functional skills exam, the students will also need to calculate wages from a range of values: hourly, weekly as well as annual in order to calculate a monthly wage bill. In addition they are asked to analyse a table to create a brief report, I suggest to develop some answers to the bullet points but alternatives would be possible. Finally they would need to create a suitable chart using graph paper - not supplied with this document.

#### FS Maths L1/L2 - Allotment Task

(0)
We use city and guilds exams and found the number of question papers limited in content and style for section two (space area and design) particularly for Level 2. This is a question based on Level 2 but could be used by a level 1 student to practice understanding scale and calculating lengths of a drawing as well as drawing to scale. It builds on L2 framework by giving a straightforward formula to work out and to calculate the amount of soil improver needed.

#### Mock exam bundle

3 Resources
three resources from my selection to replicate a city and guilds style exam - aimed at level 2 functional skills students

#### FS Maths L1/L2 House Share

(0)
Covers the complexity of fractions, decimals and percentages in a realistic way of sharing bills.

#### FS Maths L2 - Delivering Fruit

(0)
Aimed at confident L2 students as preparation for the exam, as it covers key skills in section 1.

#### L2 FS Maths - Traffic Survey

(0)
Suitable for L2 students, or L1 with some support a resource covering Data Handling questions, including working out percentages, Mean, Mode, Median, Range. Built using the City and Guilds style of questions to prepare students to take the exam.
