Join the Word Wizard for 10 fun word games! This isn’t an off the shelf clipart resource or a generic Twinkl resource - instead these wonderfully illustrated slides are fully animated and allow students to choose a level similar to a computer game! For the teacher they offer an engaging resource that is easy and simple to use. These word games are ideal for the start of an English lesson or to boost literacy within form time or as part of a specific literacy programme. A brilliant resource that quickly allows the teacher to assess the students spelling and vocabulary while at the same time prompting discussion to further develop the vocabulary of the class. Each game tasks the students with making as many words as they can from a selection of letters and hidden within the letters is a nine letter word. Students can compete against each other for the most words or if you prefer your class can try and increase their score across the school week. Every game is interactive and students can click the slides to select the level, or come to board and reveal the hidden nine letter word, making it a great incentive to use as the class teacher. Full notes and instructions are on the PowerPoint slides to make it an easy resource to use in your class.
