They are encouraged to talk about each picture, discussing what they can see, and whether they think the toy is old or new and why. Children can then glue the pictures onto the correct side. This activity develops children’s speaking and listening skills along with their understanding of time. It is advisable to show children a selection of old and new toys before completing this activity, so they can see the difference between them.
