(Starter is a 'beat the teacher' activity' whereby you ask students to give you a number and as they are giving you them you write them on the board in a stem and leaf (students write all the numbers in their exercise book) then compete with the students who can calculate the median the quickest.. you or them? - obviously from a stem and leaf it's a lot quicker so the students can see the relevance of it).
Used in my PGCE year to find out how the students are finding my lessons and areas for improvement. Students can anonymously fill in the form and you can adapt your teaching moving forward! A brilliant resource and really good for all subjects.

A3 Revision Mats for Higher and Foundation Paper 1 (Friday 20th May).
The double sided mats include questions from across all topics provided in the advanced information (All except Vector Geom (H), gradient of a curve (H) and Exact Trig Values (F))
After digesting the Advance materials that were released on 07.02.2022 for the GCSE Maths Exams (Edexcel) - I have created 2 ‘student friendly’ Exam Guides (one for Higher Tier and one for Foundation Tier). These can be given to your students to help prepare for the upcoming exams. The student friendly topic lists are especially useful as I have broken down the wording and included examples for the topics that students may not recognise by name. The booklet also provides a list of topics that appear to have been removed.
Each booklet includes:
GCSE Maths Exam Dates
Paper 1 Student Friendly Topic List Non Calc
Paper 2 Student Friendly Topic List Calc
Paper 3 Student Friendly Topic List Calc
GCSE Formula Sheet (as given in the exam)
Revision Top Tips for Maths
“Key Topics” Revision Questions (a small selection of exam questions based on the topics that appear across more than one paper, FDP conversions for example)
Topics Removed (or ones that appear to have been)
This bundle includes both higher and foundation booklets.
Any feedback would be appreciated :)
