I get my 5 groups to write their names in the boxes next to their jobs, and then give them post-it notes to write words they're not sure of.

This was a three-way differentiated time activity I carried out with KS3 SEND students. There are different times: one is 15-min intervals, two is 5-min intervals, three is 1-min intervals and 24-hour clock. One and two also have a digital clock to convert to.

A basic PowerPoint used for my KS3 SEND class for Creative. They then created their own version of the 'poppy' painting. We discussed common themes in the images (bridges, etc) and how the colours change.

Differentiated price list for a pizza restaurant made for KS3 SEND pupils. We asked them to add up either 2 things (on the lower priced menu) or 3 things (on the higher priced menu) using column addition.

Used with lower ability KS3 SEND pupils as a reading task. The fact files were adapted from another resource (additions were made). Cut out the question cards (highlighted word was for student who can only sound letters rather than sounds). They then match them to the posters and fact files.

Differentiated holiday price lists used with a higher ability KS3 SEND group. Prices up to £2, £10, and £20, with two differentiated extension sheets. We used play money to make it more fun (they were trying to find change).
