Print slides 1-13 Photocopy slide 1 for however many pupils/teams there are Laminte slides 2-13 and stick them up around the classroom Pupils fill in the answer sheet as they go around the room Go through the answers at the end (answer on the powerpoint), you could give out a prize for the most correct answers as I do

This Chemical bonding board game is the perfect revision resource to engage and motivate pupils. It includes questions on ions, ionic bonding, the properties of ionic compounds, covalent bonding, the properties of simple covalent molecules and giant covalent structures, metallic bonding and the properties of metals For each group playing this boardgame in your class you will need to: Print the boardgame onto A3 paper or card and laminate Print the 7 pages of chemical bonding questions (63 questions in total) onto A4 paper or card and laminate. Cut out each card to make 1 pack of cards. (you will need 1 board game and 1 pack of cards for each group in your class playing (2-5 players per group)) Give one counter to each player (The diagrams on each square are not part of the game, they are just decorative) The board game instructions are: This board game is designed for 2-5 players All players start at square number 1 (with a counter) Each player takes it in turn to answer a question from the question pack If the player gets the answer right they move forward the number of spaces stated on the card (one to four moves per question) If the player gets the answer wrong they stay where they are until it is their turn for another question Instead of moving forward when answering a question right, players can choose to move a player back The first player to reach the end (square 18) is the winner
