Hi, I’m Miss Sears! Welcome to Securing Foundations. I’ve been a teacher for 9 years, but my heart has been in Early Years for over 20! I’m currently based in Year 1, where I get to see that lightbulb moment happen every day. Phonics and early reading are my absolute passions. I’m a firm believer that if we work hard to get those foundational skills stuck early on, children can tackle anything the curriculum throws at them! In my shop, you’ll find resources that focus on: Active Phonics: Getting kids moving while they master those tricky sounds. Purposeful Provision: Bridging the gap between EYFS and Year 1 with tasks that actually mean something. Tried & Tested Tools: Everything here has been used (and loved!) by my own class.
