Encanto Movie: Familia Madrigal Family Tree pictures and practice with key. Two different versions (one with bonus points).
You should cover the family vocabulary before using this product.
Simple and fun. You just need a die and everything is ready. Move forward according to the number you get and conjugate the verb in brackets of each box, if you do not respond correctly, you lose a turn. The first person that reaches the end wins.

This activity can be used with the “Encanto” movie OR the music video for the song “Welcome to the Family Madrigal” in Spanish or English. Links to the music videos are included. The “Encanto” movie is available on Disney+.
In this 2-part activity, Students will drag the family members to complete the Madrigal family tree according to the song. Then they will match family members to their magical power. Note- some YouTube videos do not include Mirabel’s magic power, but the movie song continues to include it.
These activities can done with the full movie (found on Disney+ or for purchase on YouTube), or with links provided to the song.
Students will use the Pritchett/Dunphy family tree (The Modern Family) to practise the Spanish vocabulary words for family relationships, including half/step family members.

Take advantage of your students’ love of the movie Encanto and integrate it into your Spanish curriculum. Included is a beautiful presentation to introduce important household vocabulary in the context of the Madrigal house. Also included are some games/activities to support a house unit for introductory Spanish class. All activities included are designed to support beginning Spanish concepts related to teaching house (casa) vocabulary. Some activities also integrate the use of tener, estar and hay to reinforce important grammar concepts. Activities are fully editable for you to modify and adapt to your needs.

This PowerPoint helps students learn a little bit about the cultural representation of Colombian clothing in “Encanto” while practising their vocabulary. At first, they have some slides describing some of the traditional clothes of Colombia represented in the movie. Next, they work on labeling and describing what the characters are wearing as well as, describe their personalities as we revisit adjectives and descriptions. This is a great activity after showing Encanto OR just to add some culture to your clothing unit.

In the first presentation, where the plot is summarized, you can copy and paste it, cut it into sections and give one part to each one of your students. They will need to read them aloud and find the correct order and recreate the story.
The presentation about TRIO, it is a “feedback lessons” in which pupils can recognise their main mistakes and correct them.

This worksheet allows students to practice the use of the Spanish verbs SER and ESTAR, by reading a paragraph based on the TV show “Modern Family” and filling in the blank with the appropriate verb.
Student will be engaged while being familiar with the TV show.
