I am a PE teacher who has taught the subject for 14 years. I teach A Level to the OCR specification. I have worked for Ofqual to accredit the new specifications, so know the new A Level PE course inside out. I also teach G.C.S.E PE to the Edexcel spec. I am a practical moderator at GCSE level and an exam marker at A Level. I also teach BTEC level 3 Unit 1 and I have worked again for Ofqual to look at this vocational course and to compare it with others, namely the OCR technicals.

GCSE Physical Education PEP Handbook (New Spec 2016+) Edexcel

(2)
This is a handbook for the new GCSE PEP coursework (2016+) for the new GCSE for Edexcel. Its guided towards showing the students how to structure the 3 parts and it gives examples of good/bad practice for all the sections. It has a contents page, with important info, grade boundaries, how to structure part 1, part 2, part 3, student exemplars (4 marks, 1 marks and 18 marks) and some essential sheets, like candidate authentication form, and training form and a PARQ form. There is also a student starter sheet to get the students planning how they will run their PEP (e.g. how they will show progressive overload over the 6 weeks). There is also a student booklet with a tick list to show them a good example of each part and a column for them to tick it once they have done it (e.g. included qualitative data on performance). A seperate document from Pearson is a mark sheet on how to score the PEP, with a useful calculator system.

I have also included some posters to display for Blooms, connecting words and the AO1-AO3 responses including a template that I use for my class to make sure they have covered AO1-AO3 else they wont get marks. There is also some recent 6 mark questions to get the students going. It is mainly for Edexcel, but it could also be used for AQA too. There is a booklet with 7 past paper 9 mark questions and markschemes too for each question. Including the most recent 2018 questions from the 1st new spec component 1 paper!! And answers too!! Component 2 is also included, and there are 4 of the most recent questions with answers too. I am trying to get my students better at these extended questions, so if anyone has any other ideas?!

This booklet also contains the A2 topic Memory also, on Craik & Lockart & Atkinson & Schiffren. AS OCR PE SKILL ACQUISITION - ENTIRE POWERPOINT (New Spec 2016)

This is an entire powerpoint (79 slides) for all of the modules of the new spec OCR AS Skill Acquisition topic. It includes the total skill specification and breaks it down into the 7 modules including: 1. Classification of skills (the 6 continuua) 2. types & methods of practice (distributed, massed, fixed, varied, whole, WPW, part, PP) 3. Transfer of skills (bilateral, retro, pro, positive/negative) 4. Principles & theories of learning movement skills (operant, cognitive, social) 5. stages of learning (cognitive, associative, autonomous) 6. guidance (manual, mechanical, visual, verbal) 7. feedback (KR, KP, positive, negative, internal, external) There are lots of slides on each topic with pictures and theory behind the content. There is also the specification for each of the topics, so you know you have taught the correct stuff!! There are past paper questions & answers and tables for the critically evaluate parts of the course. I found this really important as lots of the topics of the old skill specification had changed. i.e. lots had been taken out.

A LEVEL PE (OCR) Skill & Psychology past paper tracker & New Grade Boundaries

Ive made a tracker to see what topics come up for the Acquisition of Skill & Sports Psychology parts of the OCR A Level Course. I have included both AS and A Level exams (2017, 2018 & 2019) and it is shown which exam the questions come from. Also is a handy sheet showing the NEW grade boundaries now we know them from this very first exam. It also shows the % the students need to get in each exam to get what grade they want!! This is only for A Level, NOT AS. Hope it helps. If anyone has the A&P, Ex Phys, Biomec that would help me out!!
