Bitesize Electricity revision - Electrical circuits AC and DC, Electrical safety

This is the first in a series of worksheets made to summarise and recap topics from GCSE Physics. All worksheets are based on BBC bitesize pages with the same name, with a QR code to guide students to the correct page. All the answers to the front page can be found there. There is then a 15 mark exam-style question to test their new knowledge. Every worksheet in the series is out of 15 so students can track their progress. I've used them with year 11, and set them as homework, that way they are forced to revise early! This is designed to help revise for the Edexcel iGCSE in Physics, but is fairly universal and should fit with any exam board. Includes PDFs for easy printing, and word documents for editing.

Binding energy per nucleon graph task

(0)
Students calculate the binding energy per nucleon, then plot this on a graph to give them a binding energy per nucleon vs nucleon number graph. This activity allows students to practice using the binding energy conversion between 1u and MeV, or E=mc^2. It also allows them to find the shape of the graph themselves. It comes with an answer sheet.

Space exploration card sort

(1)
Students have the dates, events and names for 6 landmark events in the history of space exploration, they need to match them up. This comes with an answer sheet, and some answer slides to display with pictures. This is a great start to the satellites topic, and puts the space topic into a human context.

How to draw a graph Science help sheet

(0)
A help sheet to tell students about how to draw and interpret a graph. I've laminated these, and put them in a folder on the display board so students can help themselves if they need additional support.

Report review form - helping students progress

(0)
A form to fill in with your tutees, to help them to set targets, based on their school reports. Students have an opportunity to decide which subjects they need to work on, and set targets to help them do this.
Naming salts worksheet

Naming salts worksheet

(0)
A differentiated worksheet to help students understand how salts are named, and practise writing word and symbol equations for reactions between: metal oxides and acids, alkalis and acids, and metal carbonates and acids.
Forces true or false

Forces true or false

(0)
A quick starter worksheet on Forces, aimed at getting students to think about forces and motion. Could be used as a starter for the topic, or as a recap at the end.
Salts and word equations

Salts and word equations

3 Resources
A few resources to help students understand how to write word equations. This includes reaction dice, a worksheet on naming salts, and a displacement reaction worksheet.
Atoms true or false

Atoms true or false

(0)
This is a true/false activity to introduce atoms. It includes 10 questions to get your students thinking about the size of atoms, and their structure. I’ve used this in KS3 to introduce the atom, and right through to year 11 as a recap of previous knowledge.
