Persuasive techniques are explored and leads to a group task where pupils are handed useless items and they have to try and sell them to the class using persuasive techniques. There is an example provided to model a good answer. The PP leads to an essay style task about a real world leaflet and then an opportunity to design their own theme park and to create a leaflet to persuade customers to visit. Great for a KS3 class studying leaflets/persuasive writing.

They then use their words, including adjectives and similes, to describe the monster. Their peer then listens to the description and tries to draw the image. They then compare pictures to see how accurate their written description was. This was originally designed to use with a Year 6 English transition lesson.
