The poems are not analysed but the contextual issues are highlighted - Helping students gain AO3 marks. After the context are a list of themes with relevant poems selected from The Whitsun Weddings and Carol Ann Duffy's Mean Time. There are 9 created practice exam questions for Section B of the exam, along with an example essay to help model good quality answers.

The PowerPoint initially shows background information on Cardigan market using video clips and engages with the main ideas of the poem before introducing it. The essay plan follows a cloze activity format but allows pupils to select their own evidence and to analyse language. Excellent for KS3 classes.
