Division with Remainders Game KS2

I have created this resource as I love teaching maths using the CLIC maths format. ‘Where’s Mully?’ is among one of the most popular maths games in my class. (For me and the kids!) This game develops competency in quick mental division and is an excellent and instant assessment of your children’s times tables knowledge. In this powerpoint I have worked through all of the progression steps. If you start at the beginning, you can see accelerated learning. Please let me know if you have found this resource useful and how you have used it with your class. Enjoy

Reading Numbers EY KS1 KS2 (Progression)

I made this resource for my y4 SEN maths group (intervention). I found they were still confusing ty and teen. I created this to follow the progression steps and can be adapted for use with any year group. I also included reading 4,5,6,7,8 and 9 digit numbers as well as decimals for my more able children. Please let me know if you have found this resource useful and how you have used it with your class. Enjoy

Questions to support mastery and greater depth for addition and subtraction in year 2

I have made this for my year 2 class. We have just completed the addition and subtraction unit and I wanted some fun questions to use as revision. I will show one question each morning for the children to attempt as they come into the classroom. Before our maths lesson, we will look at the children’s ideas and work through the problem together. I will then put up a similar problem after lunch for them to have a go again. You can easily edit the resource. I’ve taken the questions from the MathsHubs. www.mathshubs.org.uk I hope you find this useful. Let me know if find it useful.

Times Tables Practice - Based on the game TNT Tables

This game is a basic bingo board with randomised numbers to help your class practise the times tables. It is based on TNT Tables from 10 Maths Miracles. I can’t seem to download it so my husband made this basic version. If any one knows how I can obtain the real game, please let me know. Let me know how you get on. :)

I created this resource for my y4 clas, although it can be adapted. The activity is designed to be a quick fire number activity that develops competency in understanding place value, counting and calculation. There is an emphasis on developing fluency using the 9x tables. Please let me know if you have found this resource useful and how you have used it with your class. Enjoy :)

I have created this resource as I love teaching maths using the CLIC maths format. Coin Multiplication is among one of the most popular maths games in my class. (For me and the kids!) This game develops competency in the skills of partitioning, halving , doubling and multiplying by 10 and 100. In this powerpoint I have worked through all of the progression steps. If you start at the beginning, you can see accelerated learning. I haven’t included decimal numbers but once you get the hang of it, you can adapt it to whatever your children need. Please let me know if you have found this resource useful and how you have used it with your class. Enjoy :)

Christmas Activities

A couple of lovely Christmas activities for literacy and numeracy that I have adapted and developed over the years. I have aimed them at my year 4 class but they can be edited for use in any KS2 class. Some are my own, some I have found and adapted for my class. My husband would like recognition for helping me to write the ‘Twas the night before Christmas’ comprehension questions. If you find this resource useful, please let me know. Enjoy! HoHoHO
