A well designed resources that aims to embed knowledge securely. The lesson: Background info Key character profile sheet to research and complete about Sun Yat-sen and General Yuan Shikai. Interact with current knowledge to create a flow diagram of the creation of the Chinese Republic in 1911. Rank and explain the issues facing China: Yuan Shikai and the disintegration of China Information race about Yuan Shikai’s time in power 1912-16. Intro the warlords (which is the next lesson) Further reading task with an article included. Some tasks refer to textbook pages (Cambridge International AS Level, International History 1870-1945 by David Williamson). This could be substituted for another textbook or online resources. I think it is a well structured lesson that progresses through the content well. Any feedback welcome. Enjoy!

A whole lesson as part of a KS3 Change in Warfare unit. The lesson is completely ready to go. Interactive and engaging. Discussion of a source as a starter.
