Four A3 sheets I created to cover Orthographic Drawing and exploded drawing for GCSE. These sheets should cover the basics that would be useful for student’s GCSE D&T coursework and also the exam. There are three lesson sheets and a Homework. all of the sheets have supporting Youtube tutorials. These are available at Mr Ridley’s Design and Technology Youtube channel. For the second sheet there is the choice of a set of instructional clips or a simple overview clip these could be used for distance learning or a cover lesson.

A set of eight do it now or though the door tasks. These start with more simple tasks and increase in complexity. suitable for starter activities for KS3 or KS4 design and technology lessons. Seven of these have YouTube tutorials showing simply how to do each one. Watching these clips which are 3-5 minute are great as a settler at the start of a lesson. used over a few weeks will build students skills in isometric drawing. these could also be used as a home learning task with the Youtube clip posted into a virtual classroom. I use the TNT isometric as a bonus work.

A set of A3 worksheets to guide student through the step by step process of creating 3rd angle orthographic drawings. these sheets are supported by dedicated Youtube clips showing each stage of producing these drawings. The worksheets together with the video clips will allow all students to produce high quality outcomes. A suggested model would be to set watching the YouTube clip as homework and use the worksheets as prompts in the lesson where students can use the CAD software.

Composite Materails GCSE D&T Question and Walkthrough A GCSE Design and Technology questions on Composite materials, complete with Youtube walkthrough . A4 GCSE type questions and an A5 learning check to use in a subsequent lesson. This is supported by a short walkthrough clip on my Youtube Channel. This would also be of some use for A level product design students.

A pack covering Wood and manufactured Boards for GCSE D&T This consists of two A3 worksheets and two Learning checks sheets. These sheets can be used with the revision Clips on my YouTube Channel. There are also Question walk-thoughs for the learning check questions and some of the worksheets. These could be used in KS4 D&T lessons and would be suitable for online learning. Here is a home learning task for students to complete to consolidate their understanding of the process of the conversion of timber. This is a is required for all of the GCSE D&T specifications. this consists of an A3 homework sheet and also an additional A5 support sheet, I have also included the support sheet as an A4 sheet which could be used as part of an accompanying lesson. This is also supported by a dedicated YouTube clip. This includes A3 home learning sheet A4 support sheet 2XA5 version of support sheet

This resource covers types of production Mass/Batch /One off , for GCSE D&T or perhaps KS3. This comprises an A3 worksheet a A5 Learning check sheet. and an A4 revision question sheet. this sheet was created to Introduce types of production for GCSE D&T. there is a YouTube clip " Methods of production" and also a walkthough clip for the A5 Learning check clip.

Plant Moisture Sensor Electronics Project - Full Teaching Pack This project is intended as an introduction to Electronics for KS3 pupils This full teaching pack will enable Electronics to be delivered in Design and Technology or Engineering covering many of the current requirements of ofsted. This pack contains all resources needed to deliver this eight week introduction to Electronics Student workbook Student Home learning booklet Powerpoint slides for each weeks lesson Youtube clips for each lesson/ practical task Scheme of learning Spreadsheet of equipment required for delivery and details where to purchase components and equipment and cost to set up. Two A3 classroom Safety posters for glue gun & Soldering Iron This delivery pack will allow teachers with little or no previous experience in Electronics to deliver each stage of manufacture, testing and packaging is covered in the accompanying Youtube tutorials. More experenced teachers will find an off the shelf project ready to deliver . This project can be taught in Non D&T specific teaching areas and covers, Components, resistors, transistors, LED’s, it has been developed to produce a fun and challenging Electronics project for KS3.

This is a pack of Learning check question sheets covering a range of Design Technology subjects. There are three or four GCSE style questions on a sheet and the sheets are arranged two to an A4 sheet making each learning check A5 size. There are 7 different sheets covering, manufactured boards, scales of production, lean manufacturing, wood and metal tools. Each of the learning checks has its own walkthrough on my YouTube channel "Mr Ridley’s Design and Technology. These can be used as a lesson starter or as a learning or progress check.

Ergonomics For GCSE D&T A pack of resources covering Ergonomics and Anthropometrics for GCSE Design & Technology. This consists of two A3 worksheets and an A5 learning check which can be completed later to check and consolidate learning. The worksheets are supported by two clips on my Youtube channel which show the important Ergonomic features of two example Products toothbrushes and Barbeque tools. These sheets could be used as a two lesson mini project to introduce Ergonomics and Anthropometrics for GCSE. These are a set of sheets which give detailed instructions and coloured parts which allow students to manufacture a range of battle damaged Warhammer 40K buildings in a few simple stages. This resource comprises three A3 paper building templates and an A4 sheet of propaganda posters. These sheets are supported buy a step by step guide to construction which is available to watch on my YouTube channel. I created these to use with a KS3 Warhammer club but they could be used as a standalone D&T Graphics project perhaps for KS3, there are three building parts to make all of which can be combined to make a 40K cityscape. This is a drawing exercise for students to create an exploded drawing of clock and mechanism. This resource consists of two A3 drawing sheets. One has a isometric drawing grid, whist one is plain. There is also a further A4 sheet of instructions and keywords to further support learning. This could be used as a stand alone lesson, as part of a Design and Technology or Engineering scheme of learning. This could also be set as a home learning task by utilising the YouTube clips as step by step tutorial. This resource covers types of metals, ferrous and non-ferrous, and alloys for GCSE D&T or perhaps KS3. This comprises an A3 worksheet and an A5 Learning check sheet. this sheet was created as an introduction to metals for GCSE D&T and to complement my YouTube clip " Types of Metals" the seven minute clip contains all you need to complete the sheet. This could be set as home learning if a link to the clip could be provided for students.

Three A3 sheets that covers most aspects of plastics for GCSE Design and Technology. These would also be suitable for GCSE engineering or product design students. These sheets comprise mostly of GCSE style questions and are supported by dedicated clips on my YouTube channel “Mr Ridley’s Design and Technology”. These may also be useful for A level product design students to enable them to revisit the subject of plastics. These sheets would also be useful if you wished to compile your own bespoke exam paper for these subject areas.

Three sheets to assist students in compiling information to then produce the Design Brief & Specification sheet for their GCSE NEA. I use these over a couple of lessons to allow students to gather the information to produce a high quality Specification and Design Brief nea sheet. The various exam boards do not allow providing frameworks for writing, however, I personally feel that if these are not given to students electronically but write on these sheets as they research in each area then use the booklet to compile the NEA sheets in their own style.

This can be used as part of a Design and Technology Graphics or a Food lesson. Each sheet is A3 size and can be copied onto white card, this gives a good size to actually hold a Single Cupcake or mini pizza with the completed packaging. We have used this in a multi part food lesson in which students can design and make a package and a food product. The sheet gives details of the relevant food packaging information requirements. I have also included in this pack an exemplar pizza box as featured in the Youtube clip. GCSE Design and Technology NEA Front Sheet for AQA This A3 frontsheet is used in the front of student folders to track progress through the NEA coursework. It also allows feedback to students in line with the exam boards guidelines. I created this for the AQA D&T NEA but it might work with other Exam boards.
