I strongly believe in mass, active participation and my resources will reflect this. Differentiation is also key to my teaching. The most important factor in my teaching is always fun! I have observed well over 100 lessons and I am confident which resources can be used to enhance learning.

This is a wonderfully simple resource that is great for target setting. I use this for Maths and Writing and stick it on the inside of both books. Each half term, I set two new targets that are specific to the individual child. One target sheet for the whole year!

This three week planning unit covers a range of activities and objectives. I have included the planning, PowerPoints and Success Criteria templates. This could easily be adapted for Years 2-5. I am currently using it for Year Three and the children have very much enjoyed the unit. At the end of the three week unit the children will write their own version of Flat Stanley using the Powerpoint and Success Criteria as an aid. All documents and PowerPoints can easily be edited to suit you needs. Enjoy!

Each Week I ask my class a Maths riddle. You will find three riddles a week for 21 weeks. Sometimes my class receive the riddle on day one of the week and are still going on day 5! The children really enjoy trying to solve each riddle and so do some of the other teachers! Have fun with it and share it with your colleagues at work. I use it with Years 2 and 3. Enjoy! *** Alternative use for World Math Day *** Print out all of the muddles and stick them around the school. Stick them on the walls, in the canteen, library, basically anywhere that the children will visit throughout the day. The children really enjoy it and it brings the whole day to life! Enjoy!

The Powerpoint has 51 slides and this Powerpoint will be a great addition to your International Day activities/assembly. **** If the children get the correct answer when playing the 'Family Fortunes' game, click on the relevant number. If they get the answer incorrect click on one of the black boxes.

This is a fun, interactive game that promotes active participation and can be easily differentiated. It would be great for an observation! On each slide a question appears on the screen and all the children have to think about the answer. After 6-8 seconds a name flashes across the screen and that child should shout out the answer. The children love this game and you should all give it a go! Tip - Repeat a child's name, so that they never know when their name will appear. It will be one of the best Maths warms up you will ever do!

This is a Who Wants to be a Millionaire themed assembly to teach the children about resilience. Each question is linked to the theme resilience, and after each correct question they receive a letter. We call it 'Who want to win a word?' I have also included a story that can be used to support the assembly and a video link to further enhance the message being shared. The assembly time will be around 20-25 minutes and if you want to impress your colleagues and ensure the children have a fun, interactive learning experience, then this assembly presentation is for you. This presentation is completely editable, which will allow you to make slight changes to suit your context. *** You can buy all my assemblies as a bundle for $6.99 *** Enjoy!

World Maths Day 2017: You will be able to download three main resources in this folder. Maths Riddles - These can be sent to children throughout the day or cut out and stuck around the school for the children to solve. Maths Challenges - There are two challenges for each year group that should be completed throughout the day. They can be easily edited to suit your school context. Maths Assembly - This PowerPoint Presentation can be used in a variety of ways, although I have used it in the past for whole school assemblies. At the end of World Math Day I normally lead a whole school assembly where all children in the school bring a small whiteboard and have to answer the set questions. Last year I even turned this into an interhouse Math competition by choosing one child from each house to stand at the front of the hall and answer the questions. You can be as creative as you like, but this assembly presentation will be a fun, interactive way to begin or end your World Math Day activities. Enjoy!

This 2 page document is to allow your children to have a 'Pupil Voice' and comment on what they enjoy about school. Older children should be able to complete this independently, whereas Key Stage One students will need adult support. I usually send this document out to students once per year.I have also used it alongside the school Student Council. Enjoy!
