Languages for the Future Year 9 MFL Options Event
A number of complimentary resources to help raise awareness of the importance of languages.
This can be done in class, or as a Year Group Event.
Split students into groups (sorted by country flags) and students to complete the Quiz in teams (PPT contains prompts and answers).
There is also a follow up lesson to help students think carefully about choosing languages for their GCSE options.
MFL Language Aptitude Test (Self-Marking)
Tired of testing your students' language ability based on their previous knowledge of French/ Spanish/ German etc.?
Why not test their language aptitude by completing this SELF-MARKING test?
Questions are based on the Swedish language. It requires students to spot the grammatical patterns and apply that knowledge.
The test should take about 1 hour to complete, though students do NOT need to complete the whole test. They should just try to do as much as they can.
