This lesson is a review of the last assessment. Gives the opportunity for the teacher to get the pupils to self assess or to go over the assessment after being given feedback and marks. A good opportunity for pupils to use their purple pens of progress to put corrections around their paper. Lesson focuses on coastal processes for the new AQA GCSE Geog spec however can be applied for any exam board focusing on coasts. This lesson uses the blue AQA Oxford book as a reference to the processes however you will get away with using other geography books. Lesson includes fun quiz activities, videos etc.

Lesson 2 on weathering on the coast. Includes AQA Exam question, mark scheme and examiner reports to ensure maximum understanding of exam questions. This lesson WILL REQUIRE the use of the blue AQA Oxford books.

Lesson focuses on wave types for the new AQA Geography spec however it can be applied for any geography course. This lesson DOES NOT require the use of any textbook.

Lesson 5 of 5 which focuses on pupils writing a descriptive account. A mark sheet/check list for quick marking has been created for either pupils to peer assess or teachers to use as a feedback sheet.

Lesson 4 of 5 PSHE lessons focusing on drugs. The content of the video is quite mature as it includes swearing and watching people take drugs. I would recommend year 11 only. Lesson focuses on pupils collecting notes whilst watching the video (50 minutes long so may go into next lesson). Pupils will then build up their notes to write a descriptive diary of being a heroin addict. Pupils are encouraged to use English language skills. The documentary is Cold Turkey which was a channel 4 documentary around 15 years ago.

One of the things which bugged me about drugs education in the UK is the lack of focus on the financial impact. This lesson tries to create an engaging scenario where pupils complete a survey to find out their character and then try to assess how much their monthly income is able to cope with a drug habit. Lesson does focus around basic math skills, so you may want to bring some calculators for lower ability pupils.

1 of 5 lessons in a PSHE pack revolving around drugs. These lesson should be aimed at year 11 due to some of the mature content shown in later lessons. Lessons are engaging and give plenty of opportunity for good classroom discussion.

L8/12 lessons focusing on flood hydrographs. May need to use the blue AQA Oxford books.

L5/12 focusing on lower course landforms. These lessons use the blue AQA oxford books.

L4/12 - Lesson focusing on middle course landforms. Lessons use the blue AQA Oxford books.

L6/12 lessons from Section C of unit 1 physical paper for the new AQA GCSE Geography spec. The lessons will use the information from the blue AQA book and thus will be required.

L7/12 lessons focusing on river landscapes in the UK for the new GCSE Geog spec (AQA). Will be required to use the blue AQA Oxford books.

L10 /12 of flood management case study Requires the use of the blue AQA Oxford books.

This is a power point slide going through each of the questions found in the 2012, wjec, unit 1 foundation paper (spec a). This is to be used after they have taken the mock paper. Each slide reviews the questions. Pupils can then go through their papers and make amendments to show progress.

Some resources in this lesson may have been borrowed from other lessons and adapted.

Revision lesson giving exam practice. You may feel the need to remove the mark scheme for the 'A grade&' activities to access pupils to higher levels of learning.
