Cheerful Learning

I have taught for 10 years teaching everything from grade 1 to 5. I have worked in public and charter schools in California and then I moved across the world to teach at an International School in Germany. I have experience with the Common Core, the IB and the Primary Years Program. As an avid International traveler, an ex-pat and now the mother of a bilingual, multicultural daughter, I believe the world has so much to teach us and I want to give my students tools to learn about the world.

Baby Advice Book from Students

Students compile a book to give advice to new mothers. Answering questions about the needs of a baby, why a baby cries and why people decide to have a baby in the first place students can make a touching gift for pregnant teachers and staff members. At our school we did this as project for the third grade teacher and both she and her husband were in tears with the students precious advice. Some of the favorites were: • “Two people have baby after they had a puppy.” • “Babies need a room with lots of pillows so they don’t fall. Babies can break.” • “Babies cry when their brother takes their food.” If you are interested in this you might also like: Wedding Advice Holiday Advice Book Marriage Advice Retirement Advice New Teacher Handbook- Advice from Students who know best

Looking for a unique and cute gift for a soon to be married teacher or staff member. Our school created an adorable book for the second grade teacher and she was brought to tears. My favorite student generated advice for a happy marriage are “always take turns at tether ball” and “share your candy.” If you are interested in this you might also like: Baby Advice Retirement Advice New Teacher Handbook- Advice from Students who know best Holiday Advice Book I appreciate your feedback and use your input to create new materials and improve older ones!
