I have been an elementary teacher in UK and in Canada for many years. I absolutely love my career! I have had several educational books published, and have contributed articles to magazines such as Scholastic. The books Clifford for President and Duck for President create a great basis for teaching young children about elections and voting. In this unit students will become familiar with election vocabulary, answering questions in complete sentences and sequencing. They will learn how to make a Venn diagram, use puppets to create a scene and take part in a fun election. There are suggestions for setting up centers and ten handouts.
