Video Game Design. Concept Art
Unit of work based on concept art of a game design. This includes, starters, activities and plenaries. Throughout all powerpoints, there is contextual links, examples and relevant industry videos. It covers the main areas of concept art, world building, character design and prop making. Ends with a possible extension task of creating their own video game cover sleeve. Pupils love this unit of work and the unit follows a clear structure!
Van Gogh Bundle Scheme of Work
Scheme of work based on the Artist Van Gogh. Lessons include range of activities that are both solo and group based activities. PowerPoints are visually strong with plenty of examples and clear instructions. Slides also include starter and plenary activities such as Kahoot and challenges. The bundle includes:
Week 1: Lines and marks (using found objects as paint brushes and each pupil have a piece of a larger Van Gogh image that results in a collaborative piece of work.
Week 2: Lines and marks continued
Week 3: Sunflower creation using cardboard, tissue paper for texture and sand for an impasto effect
Week 4: Sunflower texture
Week 5: Sunflower construction
