This book guides the students through brief 1 (chorale writing) for AQA A Level music.
The main rules, guidelines and tips are outlined with examples from Bach and lots of exercises for the pupils to have a go at from simple voicing of the 4 types of cadences to adding accented passing notes and use of the diminished chord.
Is starts simple and then progresses. There are also past paper 4-part examples to have a go at.
13 Listening questions (and tracks) all using christmas songs.
All questions based on the elements and the type of questions you’d get on a listening exam.
Done with AQA in mind but great for all board and general aural skills.
Good for year 10 & 11 GCSE classes as a one-off christmas lesson.
