This resource pack contains an extensive 60 slide PowerPoint on time. It starts with the basic measurements of time that the children are required to know. It moves onto provide a scaffolded approach to telling the time on 12 and 24 hour clocks. First children look at minutes, then hours before finally putting them together to tell the time. It has been split up into four distinct sections each complete with a worksheet which means it is ideal for a weeks worth of work (I based 6 lessons around these resources). It starts of with basic examples and moves to explain exchanging ten, hundred and both tens and hundreds in a visual, child friendly and easy to understand way. The children will have great fun defeating my mathematics villain, Dr Doom! It has four worksheets which correspond to a code that the children use to defeat each stage of Dr Doom's plan. The PowerPoint has logical break off points meaning it's perfect to complete over multiple sessions. I have tried to provide children with a clear understanding of the methods underpinning column subtraction which relates directly to the new style mastery curriculum.
