Students are asked how they feel about what they see. (SMSC link). 2. Communications through the ages PowerPoint where students see pictures and have to think of ways they could have communicated. They are then introduced to Morse Code. A worksheet is completed which is included within the PowerPoint. Students are then put into a WW1 situation and have to solve a problem. 3, My colour coded lesson plan. My lesson was graded as Oustanding in almost all areas. Student participation was exceptional and it really captivated them. Let me know what you think!

Teacher starts with starter to generate interest. Then slide 3 models answer. Students complete slide 4 for themselves. A complete modelled answer follows so students can understand how to achieve a particular level. The idea is then taken out of context and students can be as adventurous and as creative as they like! Peer-assessment and keyword challenge ends. This was an outstanding resource in a recent observation.

Norse Mythology Class Competition Board

Each class has a warrior which can have its attack and defence stats upgraded. Students score points completing homework and consolidation tasks. They use these points to upgrade their warrior, or to enlist the powers of the Gods or Goddesses, or to use magical items. Warriors move between the Nine Realms trying to defeat the other class' warriors. Included is the Rule sheet, all God/Goddess cards and 25 Magical Item cards. Now Includes Student Tracking Sheets too! Last year my studnets found this to be very competitive and it got them into the class quickly (and got more of them completing homework to a better standard!!) Let me know what you think or how it could be improved!
